Currently looking to buy a 718 Cayman GTS (2.5). Have seen one at a main dealer that ticks most of the boxes, but has the following service history.

The 3rd service was carried out quite late. Not ideal but not sure if it's a big enough issue to not consider the car, especially as so few pre-GPF GTS come up for sale. Interested in other peoples thoughts.

Isn t it a year late rather than a month late?
Yes, it was 10 months or 12 months late depending on whether you compare to 1st or 2nd service.

It is from an OPC though, so would come with full warranty. I don't really feel overly concerned there will be any issue with the car, just don't want a ball-ache when I come to move the car on myself.

When I queried it, they did say there was believed to be a specialist service in 2024, but there is no paperwork to back that up and they can provide no further details, so not much use.

If the service on 19/5/22 was a major, then car will be due another major spark plug service in May 2026. I would try to get that future service included in the deal as it's only 5 months away. They should really offer that pro-actively - if you brought that car in to an OPC today to trade-in, pretty sure they would dock you some value due to that service requirement in May.
Apparently the service this year was a major - but I will get back down there and get this all confirmed.

To close the circle on this, I will report that I didn't buy the car. One of the straws that broke the back the camels back was that during the last Major service at an OPC, it appears that the spark plugs hadn't been changed. Ultimately though, the cars condition wasn't quite good enough when I looked closer.

I have ended up buying a car, with equally imperfect history, but from a specialist, and the key thing is, the car is in much better condition.
