Hi guys,

I’ve been looking and researching for my first McLaren and have largely decided that the 570GT is the best option for me and my budget.

Problem I’m having is that most of them are fairly conservative colours and I wanted something a little more… bold. So I figured getting something with the options I want in a colour that’s perhaps easier to sell in a couple of years time would be the best option. Then simply get it wrapped in something more suited to my tastes.

Has anyone has had theirs wrapped and have any recommendations?

Thanks for the feedback guys. Interesting that some are so against it. I would have thought a well known wrapper wouldn’t put a wrap ontop of poor paint?

The trouble is I’m just not finding the colours that I want, only been looking for a McLaren for a few months now but have been looking for a car for a couple of years. Just wasted most of that time on an Emira deposit. So just keen to get into something and not miss another summer of driving!

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I went down to McLaren Ascot today and actually bought the Vega Blue 570GT they have for sale. Absolutely ecstatic, car was in fantastic condition so it all worked out in the end, and managed to get one in a colour I really liked.

Although my “budget” took a bit of a beating!

Yep that’s the one! It was in so much better condition than the others I have seen I knew it was the one as soon as I sat in it.

Can’t wait to pick it up! Also nice to have a bit of security with the McLaren warranty.

The RX7 will likely be staying (but getting SORN) until I decide what to do with it. It is a childhood dream car of mine so just seeing it in the garage brings me joy! so whilst I have the space I think it will stick around. I’m just prepared for nothing to really compare to the McLaren!
