Cheers chaps - much appreciated.
Ill take your thoughts on board - websites are never finished
BTW, car pics are here: www.evoposters.net/carsa/davescars
Not on my main site, as i dont have any 'proper' photos of my cars - only digital pics, so theyre not good enough for my main site

Works fine and bloody excellent.
Im into photography myself and congratulate you on some very very good art there.
Bloody hell - thanks mate! Im a web designer/graphic designer by trade, been doing Photography for about 9 months - just bought my own kit (all those pics taken with a borrowed SLR) so ill be adding more and more pics as time goes by.
Without sounding like im fishing for compliments, would you mind telling me why you think some of the pics are so good? It would enable me to create more good pics, as invariably some of those shots will be 'lucky shots'!

Looks very good to me!
You might want to put your logo onto each of the pictures somewhere to reduce the number of people swiping them for themselves... Or disabling the right mouse save pic as bit.... Just an![]()

Yeah, i thought of that - but what use would my photos be to anyone else? They wouldnt be able to use them for printed materials (brochures etc) as i made sure i exported them all at 72dpi (i can supply 300dpi scans for anyone who wants to print them - and pays me!) and i can see no benefit to putting the shots on a website?
Its a good idea though, i might just put the web address on every shot?
Ta!

Yup - Frontpage is crap
Seriously though, i'm not a fan of Frontpage - last time i used it (2 years ago) it wasn't all that great, designed more for beginners IMO. Im not saying you're a beginner, you may be the exact opposite - but i just find Dreamweaver more powerful and easier to use once you've learned how to use it (its not very intuitive to the first time user IME).
Just IMHO mind

IMO, definately - if you need any help with certain things, mail me - i'll be happy to help out if i can!
Saying that, ive never used MX - i use version 4, but Flash MX is very good, much improved over Flash 5, so i'd guess DW MX is also pretty good! Id defo make the effort and learn Dreamweaver mate.

Dave I do webdesign too example on a ongoing piece of work for my own company (in the middle of rewriting the pages currently to be inscreen and all Flash based www.elysianconsultants.co.uk - am thinking of going flash mx route over flash 5 - haven't seen a demo yet - I started via Frontpage, then got coverted to Dreamweaver - much better app for the job I thought!
Cool. I'd upgrade to MX, its very good. I wouldnt use too much Flash though - I use it a bit in my job website (www.hopeandhomes.org) but its easy to overdo it!
Couple of tips on that site - id change the font from the default to something like Arial size 2 or something. You've also squished some of your images in Flash to fit with the portrait style - you'd do better to crop them, maybe in Fireworks, optimise them and export them before importing them in Flash.
If you want any help with anything, just ask mate
Re 'untitled document'
Yeah i know, i'll be recitifying that this evening, i missed it until i tested the site after upload and was kicking myself! LOL I also need to disable right-click to stop my images being nicked
Thanks for the tip though

You might not care, but I don't look at 'all Flash' sites, and never return to them. I doubt if I've ever seen more than 3 or 4 serious sites ever that justify using Flash.
I agree - i hate all Flash sites - i use it for specific things, but not the whole site. Each to their own though
Ben - top idea mate! How do you overlay it? With a layer in Dreamweaver? Only thing with that, is that i find the layer moves around depending on what resolution the page is being displayed in!
Top idea though mate - thanks! Ill give it a shot!
Weddings are an area im very interested in - ive got my first wedding shoot on Friday - best mates wedding! Luckily hes got a professional there too, but ill be shooting in black and white only and ill get some cool candid shots.
Ill post some of the results on my site when i get them

Hiya - bloody computers
Well my mates will be the first function/wedding ive done - i wouldnt yet feel ready to actually charge for it - if i went along on your behalf and cocked up and didnt get any good shots, then we'd both look bad and if it were a wedding id feel really bad for the bride and groom - not having special shots of their day!
Once im better at it though and can guarantee getting results (im pretty sure i could now, but dont want to risk it) then ill be happy to do it!
Ill be doing some more portrait shots (like the b&w shots of my girlfriend) soon, so ill let you know how that goes - maybe i can do some family portraits etc? At least with that if it all goes wrong i can just go back and redo them at no charge!

Just to add, just uploaded latest version -
a)untitled pages still there, not had time to sort them
b)taken Polar Bens advice and all images now have a transparent image over them with my URL. Top idea - works well - cheers mate)
c)if you look at the base of the gallery pages, youll see a 'click here' - it pops up a window but when you click submit, i get a blank email from 'INVALID_ADDRESS@SYNTAX-ERROR.' so its not entiiiirely there yet
If anyone here knows anything about PHP, youre doing better than me, so any advice appreciated
Cheers
Dave
