Hello ultima community.
I just wanted to say hello.
I'm from germany (way down south) and i wonder if there are any ultimas around here near the Lake of Constance?

At the moment i am in contact with ted marlow to fix all necessary options to place an order for a GTR.smile
So, lots of work comming up for the winter!

Hello wavey

One of, if not THE friendliest, most informative forums on the Web. A one-stop-shop for all things Ultima. Assisted with our pet mod the Stig and with occasional comments from the factory - you couldn't be in a better place.

Only one rule from me.

Lots of pics and Vids please!!!!

Welcome and enjoy!

Pete

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome.
Maybe i will need some good advise from some experienced builders for my spec.
Therfore it's good to know, that questions are welcome.

Hi and welcome.
You would do well to spend a few evenings working your way through CJ's build sites. He's built both GTR and CanAm so knows a bit about the job. The sites are very good and full of fine detail you will not find in the Factory build manual.

Enjoy your build and don't hesitate to ask questions.

Welcome.

Best advice would be to contact other owners in Germany as there may be registration/licencing issues that you need to plan for right from the start.

The build is relatively easy (compared with a rebuild anyway) but don't set yourself a deadline. If you take your time you will enjoy the experience far more.

Once you have finished the build do try the car on track. It is the only place where you can really experience how great these car's are.

Hi all,
i just wanted to offer a little update:
My status has changed now form an "enthusiast" to a "builder" thumbup

After dealing with the spec for several weeks, thinking of buying an abandoned project to finish (which i couldn't find), i decided to build my own and placed an order.
Finally, my GTR was delivered last month and i'm busy now......:-)

With my spec i decided to deviate a little from factroy standard (mainly different engine and brakes), which obviously will not enhance a short build time, as lot of engineering is required....

I love this color. Have fun tinkering.
It often takes longer than you think. Most of the time I spend with waiting for parts for my individual plans.
I am the way, in the middle of Germany.

Hello Cooberpedy,

Great news. Keep us updated. What motor will you use? The brakes?

Are those wheelie bars at the back? smile

Regards from central Germany

Shon Gutten Tag meine freund

Looking at the picture of the engine it looks like a BMW V8 or V10 which looks like my project
I am preparing a V10 with a bit more power combined with a Xtrac 6 spd sequential had the luck to buy 2 of them
Are you going for the Pectel management system and what with the Vanos

Hi all,
yes, it seems, that kawa-green is en vogue wink
But i doubt, that there are more than a dozend around?
But no matter what color, you always get stared at in an ultima i suppose.

Hi steve, how are you doing down in PNG?
Regarding the engine:
Its a BMW M5 V10!
