Red Victor 3 Becomes Europe's fastest

RV3 (with PH smileys aboard) cracks 7.0-second barrier; today Europe, next stop the world!

Andy Frost, friend of PH and bearer of the 'world's fastest smileys' has coaxed his Red Victor 3 car into a sub-7.0-second run, making it Europe's fastest road-legal car.

RV3, the world's only street legal FIA/NHRA-legal pro mod has smashed (well, crept under) the 7.0-second barrier to record a 6.99-second quarter-mile at 218mph, the first time a European street-legal car has managed such figures. Next stop is 6.74 seconds, which will be a world record.

"This is just the beginning of its development," says Andy, "watch out for much more from the car in June."

Brilliant stuff, Andy. We can't wait to see the PH smileys bring some world-record luck for RV3. You can see the rest of Red Victor's race dates here, and to whet your appetite you can check out Andy's run from last weekend in the video below.

I highly doubt they ever drive it on public roads anymore, but I'd love to see this pull up at the lights next to me one day.
Well done guys, 6.73 coming your way soon I hope.

What does "European street-legal car" actually mean?

In practice you can not increase power of car e.g. in Finland if car has too good power to weight ratio in original form.

It is the fastest street legal car in Europe.. It is street legal in the country in which it was built and runs..

Well done Andy and the team, a very exciting result indeed.

Just for clarification, was the timing for the car in the right hand lane incorrect (6.725 at 207.95 mph) or running in a different class?

The timing was correct, however, the car in the other lane isn't street legal..

The temptation to give it some welly on that dual carriageway must be huge!
I guess just knowing NOTHING will beat you is enough to keep him in check.
