Has anyone got any good suggestions for parking up and getting to the Olympic park?

I was thinking of parking at a DLR station at the end of the line - maybe woolwich arsenal or lewisham.

I have no experience of these stations, is this a good idea, will I be able to park a car there? Need to be at the Olympic village for 8.00am on a Tuesday.

Any other ideas for getting over there, i will be coming from the Midlands?

Good luck with that.....

Around where I am at the moment there are now parking restrictions in place until after the olympics.

To park there you now need a permit (which is free to residents).

I highly suspect anywhere near the games will share a similar fate.

Park at Amersham, get a one day travel card and get the underground (Metropolitan line) in...maybe?

Parking near the event - not a chance in hell.

Park and Ride services, serving the Olympic Park. Going to Amersham means you have to cross London at rush hour and you'll be susceptible to interchanges and at the mercy of about 4 different lines.

I was gonna say amersham seems a masochistic option. One of the outlying central line or overground lines from the N.E. of london that serve stratford would be more sensible.
