Hi I am planning a cycle rack design but think a bit of research on photos is the way to go.

Anyone got decent rear chassis images - with all mechanical in place inc. fuel tank?

It would help me think it thro

There's only 4 x 10mm bolts holding the cradle on, with a full tank of fuel and bikes bouncing up and down aswell you might be pushing things a bit!

A 10mm 8.8 bolt will take about 3 tons in shear, so the strength of the tank frame is probably a bigger issue as its quite a light box section and usually mostly rusted through unless its been replaced.
If was going this route I would start by making a stronger larger section tank frame.
