my fking boiler is playing up.. its fine heating water, but when it comes to the rads it throws up E 02, which i read is loss of pressure.. no problem i thought ill just pump more water into the system..

but

whichever combination of the two taps from the water in and the rad system i cannot get the pressure valve to move.

any ideas?

Which taps are you using? Aristons sometimes have a built in filling link on the boiler jig, near the isolation valves. Post a picture if you can, may be able to point it out.

Turn them both parallel with the valve bodies and play about with the braided hose, they usually kink and restrict the flow of water.

Non return valve on the left may be knackered in that case if the right hand valve is working. Personally I'd install an external filling link, those inbuilt ones are awful. Looks like it used to have one before, judging by the valve on the cold main.

I've used the outside tap to repressurise through a drain off valve before in desperate times.

ETA: Have you checked the valve spindle are moving and not just the plastic handles? They sometimes goes soft and move around the spindles.
