maserati stradale

I agree mate. Car sounds amazing. I went as far as to tell dealer I would buy if they could put rear seats in. What about a 'regular' S with all the body kit bits?
Made a similar offer, the steering, gear change in race and sound were great. But when you saw the rear arm rests you knew there was something missing to make it worth while. Whilst I understand why people are disappointed by the lack of a rear seat option, I can completely understand why Maserati have done it.
The way I see the MC Stradale is as occupying its own little niche of being a lightened more focused driving tool, whilst still retaining a greater degree of luxury and civility than its competitors. Were it to have rear seats (and inevitably lose the half-cage), it would significantly weaken its claim to be a more focused GranTurismo.
I personally think that Maserati have got the luxury/focus balance pretty much perfect, although I do think it should have closer to 500bhp to give it a better chance in the sales battle at the £110,000+ end of the market.

I fully agree, the Stradale is so much better for not having rear seats, just makes it that bit more special to me.The way I see the MC Stradale is as occupying its own little niche of being a lightened more focused driving tool, whilst still retaining a greater degree of luxury and civility than its competitors. Totally disagree on the back seats, ...I had an M3 CSL, that came with back seats, very small, very lightly padded but still had them.
Dont want proper back seats, but they could easily have done what BWM did, make small alcantara jobbies in keeping with the car and thus the rears would look made for very 'occasional' use, madness not to do it, I mean just look at the amount of people asking for them.
I have a 5 yr old boy, and to be honest I would say that my 3rd car is used 80% of the time by me on my own, so a stradale would be lovely but I do need an 'occasional' back seat
It grates to see the space and everything there, but no seats, seems pointless, and I really do not see any downside for doing it as an option at all

Can't understand why they don't offer the seats - the idea it's some kind of supercar 2 seater makes me laugh when we all know if you want that take the Ferrari , Aston learnt this with early DBS and soon added back buckets as an option on later cars, a great idea , allows me to use the car on days out with junior and extra storage if necessary . Maserati must be losing sales on this.

Quite agree Steve. It's a GT3 rival as Maser sees it but it's never going to be the hardcore track day weapon that that car is, its too big and too heavy. Offering a rear seat option would give it a USP.Shame really as its a sexy car no doubt.

I've sold my DBS and switched over to a masser!
Loved the DBS but the masser is a much more useable car in bad weather.
It feels just as special and gets a great reaction, and sorry but wow the noise ! I thought the DBS was good but this is something else!
dbs is highly amusing in the wet,bit of a shock as the last 3 cars I had were a 997 turbo,r8 and gallardo ...Loved the DBS but the masser is a much more useable car in bad weather.
