BMW e60 530 sport or Lexus gs450h

As title really. I,m thinking of either of these, had a few e39 's before but never Japanese.
Any advice would be appreciated

I'd have the Lexus simply because it isn't a BMW. A friend has one but I've yet to have a proper look at it, 300 odd BHP and a CVT box. He reckons it's not hard to run at all.

Crap brakes.
Crap above 70 mph as in unstable.
Cvt was a strange feeling.
Handling was poor in comparison to comfort and build quality. I'd want excellent comfort and sound insulation if I was giving up handling.
Mpg was ok.
Boot was genuinely embarrasing. You'd struggle to get anything in there. Rear legroom had more space.

Tested an 08 with 20k on it.

You don't mention a budget or usage so I might be way off the mark here, have you considered a late Honda Legend?

They're a bargain, perhaps rightly so!

funny enough ive considered one before buying one of the 5 series i had.i,m hoping to have around 8k.
i,m on my 40th or so car now and each time ive gone away from a bm ive regretted it.for that money i think i,m venturing into highish mileage gs450h though.which is a bit of a concern
