Time For Coffee? F-Type aural pleasure

Brundle, Bell and Danner bring some noise to your morning coffee break

Chances are you’ve already seen – and heard – this F-Type promo video that went out on Friday. But in case you haven’t and you’re finding the Monday morning fug a little difficult to clear get yourself a coffee and annoy your colleagues with the following little ditty.

By all means file under pre-launch propaganda and hype for the forthcoming F-Type, because that’s what this prototype drive by three famous racing drivers led by Jaguar ambassador Martin Brundle is all about. Brundle is joined by Christian Danner and Justin Bell for a bit of a shakedown around Snetterton and the surrounding roads in F-Type prototypes, with a silent cameo from Jag’s development guru Mike Cross. Who, as it happens, we were hanging out with last week too. More on this – and from Mike – in due course.

For now we’ll let the F-Type do the talking. And it appears in fine voice.

Oh that V6. What a fabulous noise.

I love e sound of a V8, but that sounds even better.

I was swithering about getting one of these, but my desire is back again in spades.

Best advertising I've seen for a car in ages. I don't believe the advertising standards authority have any control over internet advertising and it's just so nice to see power figures, engine sizes, top speeds, see the speedo actually at higher-than-70... hear the words "fast" and so on... and that engine noise.

Going to wind my windows down for any F-types I come across in the wild, that's for sure.

Nice sound, poor production for an official video though.

Perhaps /Drive has turned me into a video snob.

This is becoming more of a serious option as time goes on, if the interior lives up to the looks and noise it'll be great. Like it.

I've warmed to the car since watching that... I wasn't convinced beforehand. I guess that's the point of advertising!!

Also love the way the badging on the rear of the car mimics that of the E-Type smile

WOW! I had a few doubts about them offering a V6 but it just sounds glorious cloud9.
Fantastic looking things, a V6 soft top and a V8 coupe (if they still plan on doing the coupe) will be added to my lotto list.

Jaguar have one (the v6 s in blue/silver) parked outside the Hyatt regency in Birmingham quite often (i can only assume as a PR stunt) and they started it up last Saturday while i was walking into the hotel. It sounded like distant thunder and when it pulled away reminded me of the Arese V6 but louder!
