I've booked my X3 in for a service at Elms Stansted and I've got a courtesy car while they have mine. What will it be?

In my head I know it will be a poverty spec 116d but in my dreams the guy will say "We only seem to have the M5 avaliable today sir" hehe

Theres always hope I suppose.

I went through this when I went to one of the BMW Sytner garages and got a Cooper S, I asked about the M5 loaner but that got laughed off (no surprise really). At least I got to try a new Mini and realise they are not for me.

Good luck wink

That would do, although I had that engine in my old 207 GTi.

I got a Mini Clubman Cooper D, which seemed no more practical than the regular Mini and wasn't quick.
So much for M car ownership!

I find you can literally end up with *anything* from BMW or MINI depending what they have when you arrive - when I had my JCW I had an X3 35d for example while a couple of weeks later my Dad too his 335d in and got a 116i... I imagine there will be quite a few 114is coming on line in the near future though!

you need to get friendly with the salesmen, then book the service through them and then you can choose something better! I can say from experience that it pays off for them as I took my wife's old 118d into Woods Salisbury once and they gave me a 330i coupe for the day and I ended up buying a used one!!!

My E61 525D went in recently for the software update and battery thing.

Got a 316D.

I can see how the 3 series could be a great car, just not that one, uurrgh.

F25 X3 3.0D M sport auto. Bloody lovely it is, full cream leather, every extra avaliable. It feels very fast in sport mode, just a shame I have to give it back tomorrow frown
