Long shot but.... I'm trying to track down my old TVR Chimera, only car I ever bought from new and never should have let it go .... Reg was T323RPG (silver with blue roof). I part exchanged it in 2004 with around 70K miles on the clock and I know it was sold at the British Car Auctions in Sept that year... Any ideas on how I might track it down or if by some miracle anyone knows the current owner I'd be interested in buying her back if she comes back on the market

If you do contact the divla make sure it is a good excuse as you dont get two chances, I would go for something along the lines of a hit and run or a witness as I have heard that they refuse to give them if you just want to buy the car.

I wanted the name and address of someone who left me upside down in a ditch - she was heading straight for me at 60 mph, head down, texting. The ditch looked the better option in the split second I ad to decide.
DVLA refused, despite my appealing and phoning. Strange that so many organisations can have the info at will. confused

Wait, so you are suggesting he makes up a story that the car is involved in an accident or something just so he can actually only find out who owns it? confused

I am suggesting that he comes up with a better story than 'I want to buy it' as the dvla are not the most helpful bunch of people, as the post above proves.

Unfortunately you are suggesting he lies on an official document and the penalty (if causght) is up to £5k and potential prison time..

You're unlikely to get caught but it's hardly worth it.

Hi I have just purchased your old TVR reg T323RPG, amazingly it now only has 71k on the clock and has spent the past 10 years stored in a farmers barn.
Feel free to get in-touch if you want to know more.

Sam

As it was 6 years ago and he has only ever posted 3 times I would send a pm and hope he has the same e mail address.

I take it, it needs a little TLC to bring it up to its former glory?

It doesn’t look that bad on the photos.
Enjoy the project.
A year ago this week I completed a body off project on a Griff which had spent ten years..... at the back of my own garage...
