The PistonHeads Motoring Week

Exclusive first drive in the Alfa 4C rounds off another hectic week on PH - catch up here!

It's finally here! This week on PistonHeads has been dominated by that hugely exciting mid-engined Alfa but, as ever, there's plenty more to digest from PH over the past seven days. We've got Harris legitimately in a Ferrari for a start...

Italian stallions
To get us in the mood for the first review of the 4C, we featured the Fiat X1/9 as a PH Hero on Thursday as well as a stirring onboard video from aTipo 33 as a Time for Tea?

So Friday was the day; you can read Harris's thoughts on the Alfa Romeo 4C here. By bizarre coincidence, that wasn't the only 240hp Fiat product on PH late in the week; Zender's mega Abarth 500, the Corsa Stradale, was also in our news.

The excitement over that Alfa shouldn't divert you from the small matter of another red coupe driven by Monkey this week; the Ferrari F12 and Anglesey should make a stunning video very soon.

Tuned
'Why have a fast car when you can have a really fast car?' is hopefully the mantra by which many tuners live by. Certainly it's the only way cars like the Zender 500, the MTM Audi S8 and the Hennessey McLaren 12C become viable, but we're certainly glad of their existence (although the Zender is only a concept). The MTM-tweaked Audi S8 is particularly apposite given we compared the new S3 with the M135i this week; can some aftermarket modifications bring it to life?

But this week also brought news of 9ff's demise, proving how volatile the tuning market has become. Here in the UK, RPM Technik appears in rude health and has announced a series of individual 997 CSR upgrades, while ListerCars has announced a return too. Every cloud and all that.

Furthermore, as we're on British sports cars, we've had an exclusive update from Zenos on the Project E10, with its Caterham AeroSeven rival revealed on Friday. No doubt that's a track battle the Radical RXC may want to have some influence on too.

Team PH Speaks
The Goodwood Revival has lingered like a sweet holiday memory (with rain) in the PH office this week. Harris updated the liveblog to include his second place in the TT Memorial (we have videonow too!), and Matt recalled his first Revivalexperience.

Just as we thought Frankfurt was over for another year, Chris popped up with a quick round-up video of everything worthwhile, plus a fabulous 917K. 4C vid due imminently...

This week's Carpool came from a Toyota GT86 owner, and Garlick brought us up to speed us on his roadster fleet. Shed emerged from his week of extensive research (in his actual shed) with a Honda Legend; elsewhere in the classifieds, we were rather drawn to a Porsche Carrera GT and perhaps the ultimate track day toy, a Walkinshaw-fettled Holden Commodore.

Prior to the Singapore GP, Friday's POTW comes from last year's Marina Bay extravaganza. Finally, our trawls through the interweb have thrown up some weird and wonderful video-based features; see here for some very intense Viper adoration, or watch thatGT40qualifying lap again...

Nice - the Fiat X1/9 link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGoJd3AqqCE) sends me to a freaking cool Disclosure tune! I don't mind really, but don't think it was the link you meant?
