Apparently the badge is the problem for some fools. If they are too short sighted to see past that then more fool them, they can keep their overpriced snoozemobiles.

would those massive 19'' alloys spoil the ride quality on our perfect uk roads?
They're standard as 19s.

Mine looks very similar, although I'd want the luxury pack without the horrid tinted glass, bet they'd baulk at that.

This Focus RS has taken so long in the build up and hype, it wants to be the best car in the world.

Got to admit, in certain restrained colours, that RS looks really, really, good.

I like.

I might consider one for my home in Portugal - I need a small car there and I'm not a badge snob, I'll buy whatever I fancy and don't care what others think. I don't do garish or Halfords which I imagined the RS would be like but it ain't too bad at all!

Lol, and the award for most PH post of the day goes too.....

Talking about (reverse) badge snobbery with one breath and then nonchalantly dropping your second home in Portugal into the conversation for which a small RS would be perfect apparently. thumbupbiggrin

I dont class either as council.

I own a Ford fiesta ST.
My dad owns a Lotus Elise.

I made the point about Lotus's like he did about Ford, to show how one persons opinion can be different to another.
Ahhhh I see, apologies!

Nice choice of car btw wink

Is that an official shot or someone's mock up? I can't tell from Ford's site whether that is one of the available colours (Stealth? Magnetic?) or not.

That is the magnetic option but can look quite a bit darker in different lighting.

Only certain British folk would see that as snobbery, surely! lol

I'm emigrating - leaving the Mud Isle for a land in the Sun! I have tried to like the UK but can't, after returning 15 years ago I've decided to get away again. So I'm in the process of selling up and moving on. So yeah, two homes at the moment but that's just logistics until my youngest goes to Uni in less than two years time so that I can say goodbye to the constant rain and move into the home I am currently building in the Algarve - while prices there are far cheaper than they were pre-recession.

The small car note is precisely because over there a small car is more suitable to my needs rather than a big SUV; I'll need to buy a left-hand drive so that necessitates selling the cars in the UK within the next 12 - 18 months or so and getting into new one's over there.

So it wasn't a braggart post about owning two homes and seeing the RS as a little toy at all wink

Yep, totally.

Cant wait to see the road tests for the Focus, I suspect it is going to be a decent seller.

That horrible silver trim round the air vents reflects constantly in both front windows. It is the worse design flaw and distracting thing ever. Almost dangerous. For that reason, no focus of any description for me.

Err no the accolade I was thinking of was how long the thing took to get to market nothing whatsoever to do with the best car in the world laugh
