Sun-scorched Arizona sounds like just the place to be testing out the new Roadster version of the AMG GT, right? Given we've experienced rain, snow and sand storms in the 24 hours we've been Stateside the answer may actually turn out to be not so much.

We'll struggle on though and the full story of how the 557hp GT C version of the Roadster - complete with widebody looks and the GT R's rear-wheel steering - will be coming next week. For now here's a little teaser with a photo of the car in its unapologetic Solar Beam paintwork. It's got the looks for sure. Does it live up to it on the road? If it stops snowing we'll tell you shortly...

I just hate the new front grille which was introduced to the AMG GT family. Shame on you AMG boys!

Didn't the very first Corvette have a grille like that? It certainly is ugly & add the Chav factor that is the chrome blingy blobs in the grille of more mainstream Mercedes & the vulgar ginormous big wheeled gangster glassed monstrosities loved by the Travelling community is this a brand that has lost its stylistic way & is no longer the aspirational class act it once was?
