called to see a mate of mine today, he is sorting rust in the cills of his 1982 911?
the outer cill has some sort of rubber coating that is painted, its about 3-4mm thick, he wants to match it before re painting,

You can buy this in most places, but Porsche will also sell it to you for a nice price.

OEMs apply PVC Plastisol during manufacture. As has been said, there are diy options.
