I am in France and I am looking for an Elise S1.

Found this ad: https://www.leboncoin.fr/voitures/1110068332.htm?c...

Emailed the seller about services done and other work on the car and got the answer below. I am a bit worried about the car not being used for 3 years, but the seller is offering to do a full check before delivery. What do you guys think?

FROM THE SELLER:

The services were made at a German customer who prepares racing cars and who owns himself an elise.
Pieces changed: radiator, air box, expansion tank, belt changed 3 years ago but with max 2500 km since, the car has almost not being driven since ... Anyway, the car will be serviced before the sale, incl. change of fluids and suspension check.
The car was never tracked.

depends where it was stored for 3 years. If in a dry garage, it's hardly likely to be a big problem.

Elises are extremely simple machines and there's no need to be overly scared of them in terms of the cost of repairs which, if you are mechanically inclined, are relatively easy to do by yourself. They are not like a Ferrari in this respect, although if I had a Ferrari instead of my Elise, I'd still probably DIY...
