Ive had the pleasure of owning 3 Aston Martins the latest being a 1 previous owner DB9 which has never let me down and has been a pleasure to own. Part of its reliability has no doubt been down to the 12 services completed by Stratstone in Wilmslow and Im sure they will be upset that I will now be handing over my salary to their colleagues at Stratstone Ferrari !! Since buying an Audi S8 it has taken the shine of my occasional weekend toy. You can't have your daily drive quicker than the weekend toy !! I have decided to move to the "dark side" and try a little Italian exotic. My wife (pictured in the middle) has suggested we keep the Aston but it would be vulgar to have a total of 1600HP sitting outside the house....so it must go ....it needs some rear brakes and a small paint job of the wing mirror arms and then I will advertise it here on Piston Heads

Ive not had a chance to try out the Ferrari 599 yet but on the drive home it did seem to be very nippy smile

Ive enjoyed 9 years on this forum and I have little doubt I will return at some time after Ive replaced the clutch a couple of times on the F1 gearbox of my 599

Here's me looking like a daft knob with the new toy

Saw a pic of you looking very pleased with your new purchase on the Ferrari part of the forum. Enjoy!

I also have a friend looking for an Autom, post 2007 DB9, so if it ticks those boxes, feel free to drop me a PM with details.

I wondered where you got to as I used to enjoy our banter.
Good luck with your new Ferrari although the banter on that forum is not as good as on this AM forum.
Wife looks OK which makes me wonder why you bothered with my Ladyboys. wink

the reason I can afford the 599 is because I haven't visited your ladyboys for while ....i've been saving up

Many congratulations, have fun in it.

I’m sure that you’ll be welcomed back into the Forum once you get sick of not being let out at junctions, repairing key scratches and receiving certain hand gestures.

But seriously though, well done. Looks lovely.

Jeez, you've put on weight MG.

I was pointed in the direction of this thread whilst in Oxton last night.

You need to stop trying to emulate your brother. He is a bender. No doubt.

Anyhoo......enjoy your new car Mr G. You have certainly earned it beer

Is that picture of you with the Italian junk taken in the garage of the swanky new house you've bought at the top of the hill Michael?
Jockman is chasing you up the hill but I'm staying down the bottom by the bus stop to get the most use out of my free pass.

Nice colour though.

Very nice, but it would have been a Vanquish for me, surprised myself, as i have been a Ferrari fan for my first forty years of my life.

Took me a while to get used to that, but it’s the sad reality these days for us who prefer beautiful manual V12’s in the weekend. Enjoy the new beast.
