Hi all

We are all quick to complain about dealers on occasion but I did want to redress the balance a little by stating my thanks to HWM for their exceptional service this week.

My four year old Rapide S was due its service and MOT this week and the drivers from HWM arrived at the house to pick it up. Long story made short the Rapide chose that moment to not start and instead have a complete electrical breakdown. I mean a proper lights flashing, loud clicking noises fit!

I had no extended warrenty, no AM assist but despite that the HWM team drive back to the dealer (Approx an hour away) and came back with an engineer who sorted the Rapide and off it went for service.

Despite the delayed pickup the car was returned earlier than expected in the week and loking fabulous. Thanks to the service team especially the lead.

Great service and the reason I keep going back there for my Aston’s which brings me into my second thanks.

Thanks to Richard from HWM who talked me into buying a new Rapide S during the service of my old one. Simple negotiation process where we both ended up happy with the deal.

Same colour (Skyfall) but obviously all the upgrades that have happened since I bought my last in 2014. I did consider the Vanquish but the truth is my kids don’t seem to stop wanting to come out with me and my wife! So I need the four seats. Maybe vanquish next time. But for now I wait for the 3rd of March for pick up day. Pictures will follow as per forum rules. smile

Oh, one small detail. I haven’t told my wife yet. I forgot Valentine’s Day for the first time in 29 years this year and so this week hasn’t really presented the opportunity for a “Hey! Guess what I have bought” discussion. Any help on this appreciated. wink

Josh

Well possibly smile. But they did throw the service in as part of the deal so my man maths is good

The easiest way to remember Valentine’s Day?....

Forget it once.

Congrats Josh - more of a good thing! 2018 model? You already had the big grille looks so you could keep schtum with the missus I reckon - unless she susses the latest infotainment stuff smile

We are going with some mates to Germany in July with a few nights in other places - my kids, only 2 minutes ago, just asked if they could come. I can't say there is no space and its so fab when they still want to come with you, as you say smile

Pics asafp please!

Thanks all

Ken, yes I believe an 18 model. Has the apple car play thing, shadow exterior pack and the performance pack. The only thing it doesn’t have is the cooled seats.

Wayne, brilliant that is the best plan so far!

Wonderful, I have had mine for a year now and know what will replace it when it is time to change, hopefully they won't be all electric by then, could probably put up with a 5.2 turbo at a push.

I wish I could say the same about HWM, Initial sales experience was very good. After sales, the worst nightmare I have experienced from any car dealer in 28 years of driving.

Congrats on the new car and hope you don’t suffer the same....

Thanks. Hope it is all sorted for you now.

I was just really impressed with how they proactively sorted my misbehaving Rapide with no question.

Anyway. March the 3rd another day closer. smile

It is pretty much sorted now but only as i refused to let it go back to them for a fourth time (each time it came back with far worse issues), resulting in using an alternative dealer and AM approved body shop and HWM footing the bill. Fortunately their DP agreed otherwise it would have ended up in court. I’m still awaiting a Tracker tag they lost but not holding out much hope as they have the hump now and ignoring my emails.
