Goodwood Members' Meeting: Pic of the Week

You know spring has sprung when it's Members' Meeting weekend!

This weekend is unlike any other for motorsport - it is the one that kicks off the historic motorsport season, and for 2018 we could well see for the first time fully blooming daffodils in the snow...

A new race, the Ronnie Hoare Trophy, will kick off the racing on Saturday afternoon. Named in honour of the Maranello Concessionaires founder it is expected to bring Ferrari 275GTB/Cs, Alfa Giulia TZ1s, Morgan Plus 4 SLRs, MG Bs and Porsche 904 and 911s to the grid.

A host of Shelby Cobras will also be in attendance, racing in the Moss Trophy and hopefully dancing around the track as gracefully as they did at last year's event. They will be fighting for space on track with Aston Martin DB4GTs, Jaguar E-Types, Ferrari 250s, Lotus Elites and Austin-Healeys, and it promises to be another great race in the programme.

As most will be aware, Goodwood lost Henry Hope-Frost, a dear member and the 'Voice of Goodwood', in a motorbike crash recently. Tributes from around the globe have been pouring in and ahead of Saturday's Formula 5000 high speed demonstration all engines will fire up for a 'Minute of Fever'. Stickers in the iconic Lotus black and gold liveries featuring the HHF logo and #FEVER will be sold, and donations are still be accepted on the Just Giving page.
