Anyone had Autoglass replace their screen? Should I trust them?

I am just about to change mine for the second time. I wouldn't trust autoglass or national windscreen. I brought mine from the factory and Charles Dunn replaced it. Don't tell him I sent you though as it's a two day job and very labour intensive. I agreed the claim in principle with the insurance underwriter paid for everything and claimed everything back without issue the first time. I'll let you know how it goes with the latest one.

Whoever does it, if the rebate is to be backfilled, make sure it's a UV resistant product and not just the same jollop they stick the windscreen in with.

Two day job for two men??

Removal is a bit of a bugger and needs a wire cutter.

Refitting after all the prep is not too bad. My son and I fitted mine. Used a cordless sealant gun to create nice 'V' shaped bead and then lay in the screen and tape in place.
We had the added hassle of soldering/heat shrinking the wiring for the electric screen when partially in!!

No more than a days work and two people needed for about an hour. And that was for a beginner.

Hi Paul, remember you are a talented car builder. For many changing the windscreen will be a mission! Can always have a friendly chat with the Factory if you don't have access to a build manual, as I am sure they will share some tips on how to install the windscreen.

Ha, don't make me laugh! The Ultima is the first car I built (hopefully not the last) and if I was talented I would be a lot wealthier...

I am just prepared to 'have a go'.
