Goodwood Festival of Speed: PH Gallery

Gone but not forgotten, here's our highlights from another glorious weekend in the Duke of Richmond's back garden

It may seem like it only just happened, but it's been over two months since the Goodwood Festival of Speed already. With Revival now also behind us, this week saw the dates for next year's Goodwood Motorsport events released, starting the cycle all over again. The show's 26th instalment will be in just under 300 days from now on July 4th-7th, with the Moving Motor Show on the 3rd.

Three hundred days is quite a long time, though, so for those of you who cannot wait for the return of one of the world's greatest car shows/motorsport festivals, we have put together some of our highlights from this summer's running for you to enjoy.

Our FoS experience started well when were fortunate enough to tag along with a convoy of a dozen Pagani Zondas, lead by Horacio Pagani himself in the one-of-three Zonda HP Barchetta, through central London and down to Sussex.

Once at the show there was, of course, a wealth of amazing cars, from the Ferrari 250 GTO to the latest McLaren 600LT. Goodwood is now a significant enough occasion to play host to the public debuts of several different new and important cars every year. One of the most impressive cars to make its dynamic debut at this year's show was the all-electric NIO EP9. The Formula E inspired hypercar produces an eye watering 1,341hp from four electric motors and set a blistering 6min 45sec lap at the Nurburgring last year.

Other stars of the show included the breathtaking Singer DLS, the fantastic V8 Aston Martin Cygnet, and the legendary McLaren F1 GTR #01R, which of course is the very car which won Le Mans. The big celebration at this year's show, however, was 70 years of Porsche, starting with the first ever Porsche 356 driven throughout the weekend by Mark Webber, all the way up to the latest 911 Speedster concept.

Much like its predecessors before it, the 2018 Festival of Speed left us itching for more. Tickets to next year's FoS and Revival (September 13th-15th) will be available on the Goodwood website from November 5th. We can't wait.

Thoroughly enjoyed this year. Easy to complain about loads of things they seemingly have no plans to ever fix but at the end of the day it's one of the best events of its type on the planet. A few pics from me on the Friday:
