New Aston Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake images

A better look inside and out of Aston's one-of-99 Vanquish estate

"Working with the legendary Italian styling house Zagato Milano to combine traditional craftsmanship with high technology and absolute exclusivity, the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato delivers a unique combination of performance, rarity & fastidious attention to detail."

So read the Tweet accompanying these new Vanquish Shooting Brake images - thanks goodness for the increased character limit, right? - Aston updating what we knew already from the car's confirmation in October. Beyond that it's up to you to work out what's new, with no further information released.

Perhaps the biggest point of interest is inside, this being the first time the Shooting Brake's cockpit has been seen. Predictably enough it's fantastically sumptuous in there, Zagato-embossed tan leather covering nearly ever surface. Where there's not leather there's carbon fibre - see the incredible divider between passenger and storage area - the interior then brought to life with an ornate glass roof. It even looks quite spacious in the back, this Shooting Brake, irrelevant observation though it will be to every single buyer - this isn't doing the tip run any time soon, is it?

This particular car features two-tone wheels of black and gold that were seen on last year's Zagato, plus Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres. Don't forget, either, that all the Zagatos will use the old 5.9-litre V12 in Vanquish S form - and therefore with 600hp.

325 Vanquish Zagatos will be made; with the Coupe and Volante already produced, it's just Shooting Brake and 28-car Speedster run left to come. We await the arrival of both with considerable interest...

No thanks - too "over-styled" for my taste, particularly the side. What's going on behind the front wheel-arch?

The dog will slide around all over that carbon fibre boot floor, before having it's head cut off by the divider when I have to hit the brakes hard.

It's also a bit "fussy" on the styling front isn't it?

Those seats are just dreadful. I can't see beyond them. It's like Zorro had a fking field day in there.

Some people would find a complaint in a lottery win and they always seem to be the first to comment.

So long as it has a double bubble roof I'm in.

not for me I'm afraid - makes no sense at all - waste of money. But I guess it is for those people who have money to waste

Makes it look like a car from the late 90s.

I'd rather a GTC4 Lusso

I like the idea. The execution? Not so much.

Better in a darker colour - less fussy looking.

Having seen one in the flesh, it looks better there than in these pictures. I wasn't close enough to see the interior, but the exterior seems more cohesive in 'real-life'.

Yep that's much better. I came on here to say, the different roof colour does it no favours but love the overall shape. Looks great in the picture you've posted.

Of all the old Torino design/coachbuilding firms, Zagato consistently delivers the most gopping designs.

No thanks. I’ll stick to my Octavia vrs to ferry sh*t around and my fun car to go fast. Far too over styled imho.

Looks like one of those card picture games of the past where you can put threecars together to make one. And for that interior it reminds me of the inside of a Tuk Tuk in India. The interior designer looks like he only had a brown pencil for the drawings. Aston Martin come on you can do so much better than this.
