Supercars in London 2018: PH Gallery

A photo round up of the most spectacular supercars seen on our streets in the past 12 months

As another year ends, and a new one begins, we thought it would be a good time to take a look back at the fantastic array of supercars we've been fortunate enough to spot lurking the streets of our capital in 2018. We've tried to bring together a selection of the rarest, fastest, and most interesting cars from frankly hundreds of worthy contenders. London is almost unique in constantly having some of the latest and most advanced supercars roaming its streets, sometimes even before we at PistonHeads have had a chance to get our hands on them! Without further ado, here are our favourites:

Ferrari 288 GTO
This particular 288 GTO is supposedly one of only two Giallo Modena examples in the world. We saw it on Park Lane in London around the time of the Gumball 3000 rally, which it was taking part in. What makes this car even more interesting is that it had been shipped all the way from Australia to London for the start of the rally!

Ferrari 812 Superfast
We were lucky enough to see celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay's Tailor Made 812 Superfast on the day he collected it. This incredible example of Ferrari's latest V12 supercar was finished in a rare Verde Mansoni Opaco matte green paint, and is the most recent addition to the chef's large collection of Ferraris.

Pagani Zonda Riviera
This Zonda 760 started life as Zonda F which was unfortunately crashed in Dubai. The Pagani factory completely overhauled the car, and upgraded it to the Zonda's most powerful variant, the 760. This car belongs to a Saudi royal; however, it did spend a short amount on time in London over the summer.

McLaren Senna
We managed to snap the rare moment that four McLaren Sennas visited the Dorchester Hotel on Park Lane. One of these cars was chassis number 1, the first Senna off the production line, featuring a bespoke livery by MSO, and another of the cars was driven by Bruno Senna.

Ferrari 250 GTO
The 250 GTO is likely the most valuable car which will ever feature in one of our albums. This particular car belongs to Nick Mason and was parked together with an equally stunning 250 California at the annual Father's Day Pageant in St. John's Wood.

Mansory Bugatti Veyron
At a first glance this Bugatti Veyron appears to be a one of five special edition 'Pur Sang', or thoroughbred, which was made by Bugatti without any paint, only polished aluminium and lacquered carbon fibre weave. However, this car was actually a 'standard' Veyron 16.4 which was rebodied by Mansory to copy the Pur Sang. It's an impressive job; however, a keen eye can notice subtle differences, such as the size of the pattern in the carbon fibre weave.

Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta
This one-of-three Zonda HP Barchetta is (finally) supposed to be the swansong for the Pagani Zonda. We saw this car, which costs £13.4 million, being driven by Horacio Pagani himself in Knightsbridge, on his way to the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

We've included a few other highlights below for you to enjoy, but otherwise that's it for 2018! Happy New Year to you all, and who knows what fantastic cars we might be able to spot in London in 2019.

Some utterly epic cars there.

London never disappoints.

But what I love the most is on the side streets, you always see old, eclectic cars which seem to have been kept by original owners from new and in great condition.

Ok, so what's in the same picture in the far left behind that Mercedes. My mobile phone screen size even on max zoom is not allowing me a proper look at it, but it appears to be red, ultra low, open topped and with exposed wheels... Or it's just a dust cart.

Yellow GTO
Happy Ferrari
Singer

For me biggrin

Though I have to admit I'm also looking at the locations. I do love a Mews house, somewhere central, with a double garage.

If I had been the UK Euromillions winner on Tuesday I'd be looking for a 275GTB like that first picture - stunning car!

(And maybe a few more to go with it). laugh

Unfortunately the wretched ULEZ will be the death of this.

Note to PH - using 'likely' instead of 'probably' is a capital offence (what you'd term 'offense ') in my house . But I'll take the 275GTB please , the car which makes an E-Type look just a bit below decks...

Ha! A fake (unless there was an unpublicised, 1988/9 remake I wasn't aware of). Probably one of the Nissan Z-based copies.

Also love the slightly-too-small Borrani wheel lookalikes and the fact that it's in a Disabled space which, unless the driver really is disabled, qualifies it for the "Bad Parking" thread.
