I sold mine via ebay in 2011 with 136K on the clock for £2850 after owning it from new. A few years later I did an MOT history check and saw that the mileage had dropped from 156K to 101K which is quite impressive.

I loved the car, it was very reliable despite the remap, huge mileage and "enthusiastic" driving.

Volvo s60 t5.
Similar era V70 T5 is closer to the mark but they're big, heavy and cumbersome so as a car to 'drive' they're a bit off the mark. This Impreza would run rings round one on your average UK B road...

[quote=shed]Number 2 is a 1976 Mercedes 240D (vertical headlight W114/W115 model) used as both a taxi and a private vehicle by a bloke called Gregorios, which with just a couple of letter changes would be a perfect name for a taxi driver.
I can’t see how you get from Gregorios to Frank with a couple of letters.

I owned a classic for 7 years. And sold it at the bottom of the market crash after 2008. I wish I’d have kept it, although I sat in one recently and the seating position is very compromised for the taller ones amongst us.

I have a slightly older WRX saloon that I use as a little toy. It's a little rough around the edges but has the Prodrive Pack (with certificate!) and a catback exhaust. I'm glad to have got a clean one rather than one that's been abused, and this one drives particularly well for it's 133k miles. It's got the leather interior as well which is a bonus.

Paid £3000 about a year ago, bought from a specialist. The chap had bought it for himself for a bit of Nurburgring fun but decided to go RWD instead, so was selling it before the touristenfahrten days started. Think I got a bit of a deal.

I’ve owned my 2005 WRX PPP saloon from new, it’s done 204,000 and it’s still on the original clutch! It’s an amazing car and I never intend to sell it. So much more character than modern “more capable” saloon cars and sounds great without the need for synthetic enhancement. It recently drove up an icy road in the Lake District which defeated a Q3 and two Evoques and will get 30 mpg with a light right foot. I don’t understand why everyone doesn’t drive one?

That looks hard as nails
People move over pretty sharpish on the motorway evil

Just noticed that the image of the interior in my last post didn't show correctly

I modernised the contact points as the Blobeye looks quite dated with the massive steering wheel and gear stick so swapped for the smaller Hawkeye Momo steering wheel and fitted a blobeye STI surround to the gear shifter plus a Forester 5 speed knob.

Need a shaved head, baseball cap on backwards and an arm full of cr5p tatts (tribal, Chinese ect) and if owned by a woman the usual tramp stamp tatt across the lower back.
Has all the image of a holiday In Tenerife or Benidorm.
Plus...with the type of previous owners and at this mileage will have a drivers seat full of farts/p1ss and a back seat full of jizz/ love tunnel juice..

RB320 look rather mean. Appreciate not in this sort of budget and can't be sure of a reliability.

Blimey, I thought I'd done well with 136K on the original clutch.

It doesn’t even feel that worn. Shows what a bit of mechanical sympathy can do.

I read this the other day. Brilliant read and very nice car. I have a WRSport and loved the thread. They are a rarity these days. I've put a couple of pics on it as I've struggled to find any still standard.

I had a bug wrx wagon for awhile, the interior/switch gear is horrible, but apart from that it wasn’t bad! The “wagon” boot size was a joke though

Hi guys, original poster here. Well.. seller of this Shed of the Week.

The Moon Wagon has now gone to it's new owner. Thanks Shed for featuring the car, the article did drum up interest and I'm sure it helped with the sale. To answer a few of the questions about the car that came up:

- The reason I did not mention the very short MOT in the advert is because it was always going to be sold with a full year MOT. The car sailed through its MOT last week, and was collected by the happy new owner the next day.

- The car was indeed a WRX as pointed out, not an STI. That really would be silly money!

- Yes this was a very cheap asking price.. but even at this silly money none of you came to view it!! It's all very well putting a car on sale for what you think it's worth, but what actually matters is how much someone is willing to pay for it..

- The new owner is a really nice young lad who works for a very well known tuning company who have a long history with Subaru. So I'm sure this car will continue to be well looked after and make it to the 250,000 miles club very soon!

I'm off to polish my other Impreza now, and cover the interior with various questionable liquids and gases, if these comments are correct!?! laugh
