PHer wins British GT championship!

Graham Davidson takes GT3 glory alongside Jonny Adam in an Aston Vantage

We all like a good news story on PistonHeads, don't we? Well, they don't come much cheerier than this: PHer 'Hollowpockets' - otherwise known as Graham Davidson - a long-serving and committed forum member, has won the British GT championship. Which is pretty cool.

Mr Hollowpockets began racing back in 2012, in a Noble M400. There was soon success in the GT Cup championship, from where he moved to British GT just last season. Driving a V12 Vantage GT3 for Jetstream Motorsport with Maxime Martin, Davidson won at Spa and came second at Snetterton to classify seventh overall in last year's championship.

2019 has turned out quite a lot better. Driving the new TF Sport Vantage GT3 with Jonny Adam, Davidson has taken victory at Donington Park and Brands Hatch; a podium at Snetterton and only one finish outside the top 10 has ensured a consistent season, and a total for 2019 of 131 points - just 2.5 ahead of second-placed Jonny Cocker and Sam de Haan in the Barwell Lamborghini Huracan.

Given Davidson's relative lack of racing experience, we hope you'll all agree that's an incredible achievement deserving of considerable praise. The entire programme from the weekend's Donington decider is on YouTube if you want to take a look; for now, hopefully you'll join us in wishing Hollowpockets a huge congratulations on his title win - we look forward to seeing where your racing career goes next!

Thanks PH! This is the culmination of many years suffering a car addiction startied by the Pistonheads website over a decade ago 😂👍 it’s been an amazing year so thanks for recognising it 🥳

A story that is sure to be covered in a number of publications / web sites. But none with this cheeky headline!

PS: congrat's HP (the pockets bloke, not the sauce)

I used to know Graham pretty well, we went on various PH runs together and I have fond memories of some very high-speed passenger rides in his TVR T350, which he drove extremely well, he has obviously developed that talent even further. biggrin.
He is a lovely guy and I am delighted to see that he has been so successful, well done Grahamthumbup
