Cayenne V8s - Bore Scoring

How common is bore scoring in the Cayenne V8s ?

Far less common than the internet would have you believe !
Any petrol V8 will have a good few miles on it by now and probably be safe enough. Most seem to show problems at about 60,000- 80,000 miles. Driving style seems to be the biggest factor, engines under constant low rev/ high torque loads seem to do worst, do your car a favour and get out of town !

I bought mine with ~80k miles on the clock 6.5 years ago. It's now over 100k (107.5k I think) and doesn't seem to have had that problem (and I do driver it almost exclusively on short journeys / auto mode / low revs).
