Le Mans Classic 2021 - register your interest now!

2021 will be a bumper Le Mans year, with both a 24 Hours and a Classic, so no better time to make the visit...

UPDATE
The Le Mans Classic has now been postponed from 2020 to July 1st-4th, 2021. You can still follow the link below to register your interest for the event in 2021 and be one of the first to hear when our packages go on sale.

2021 sees Le Mans Classic return for its 10th running, having been thrilling historic motorsport fans since 2002, of biennial motorsport goodness, from July 1st-4th. At the last Le Mans Classic 195,000 spectators made their way to the event to watch 700 classic race cars tear around the circuit at all hours; the quality of the event clearly shone through, too, as it won the 2018 Motor Sport Event of the Year!

Unlike the 24 Hours, we'll only be running our Bleu Nord campsite at the Classic and we expect it to fill quickly. The campsite is incredibly popular, and you'll join 450 others for a relaxed, friendly weekend.

You can enjoy the superb benefits of staying with us and our longstanding partner, 1st Tickets, which include but are not limited to:

  • General admission to the race
  • Up to five-day return Channel crossings are available
  • Pre-allocated camping pitches mean there's no rush - your space will be set out for you, whenever you arrive
  • Free Wi-Fi access so you don't have to rely on patchy and expensive 3G/4G
  • Cooked meals included (three full English breakfasts and three evening meals)
  • Fenced perimeter for your peace of mind
  • On-site security, including night patrols at the weekend, to protect your car and belongings
  • Private toilets and warm showers, so no long queues for facilities
  • Large marquee with cash bar - a social hub for all campers whatever the weather, with live TV coverage of the race so you don't miss any of the action.

If this sounds like your cup of tea, then you'll want to register your interest here, which will give you early access to buy your tickets. Did someone say 'perfect Christmas present'?

See you there!

I'm thinking of signing up for this.

I usually make the Silverstone Classic with the missus but was thinking of doing this with my 8 year old.
He's just starting to get into cars (mainly the prancing horses and bulls as you might expect) but would need a few other things to keep him occupied.

Has anyone taken their kids on this?

Cheers,

D.

I'm going to give the Classic a break. If you were attending for the for the first time, with no comparison to prior years events, it would likely be an enjoyable experience.

Personally I've noticed over the years a decline in various aspects of the classic event & organisation, specifically large gaps between races, smaller grids, poor organisation of public track laps with overcrowding verging on dangerous, less eating facilities year on year unless you leave the facility, more crowded camp sites & smaller pitches, less stalls & side events, and of course the price increased significantly year on year (buying direct).

While I perhaps need a break, I may give the 24 hour another try having not attended since 2002.

Overall the Classic is a great spectacle but you do get the feeling you are getting fleeced more year on year.

Really great event. Enjoy it more than the 24hrs in June these days. 6 eras, 3 races each, so you shouldn't miss your favourite cars. That photo of the marquee, shows a very small screen, with a tennis court! Surely they could provide a large projector screen for the money.

The marquee has 2 TVs though as with most operators also houses the food & drink facilities. If you’re wanting to watch it on TV, surely you’d stay at home wink

You're in for a bit of a shock at the 24 hour if you haven't been since 2002. It has changed a huge amount since then. We go to the classic instead of the 24 for a better overall weekend.

Just put deposits for both the 24hr & the Classic with PHs partner 1st Tickets (It’ll be the first time at Classic) & excited at the prospect of something different than the 24hrs & seeing some racing cars from my childhood & hearing the screaming engines from a different era when there was a lot more noise etc.

1st Tickets will contact you in due course. The ACO have just confirmed the availability for the 24hr race so I'd expect we'll hear in the next few weeks as that race is several weeks before the Classic. If you want to advance the process give them a call wink

I had my confirmation from 1st Tickets today as they’ve heard from the ACO apparently so anyone whose expressed interest with them I’d expect to hear from 1st Tickets shortly - I cant wait as I’m doing the double in 2020 & really looking forward to it. God knows how I’ll last until June - it seems a long timescratchchin

Just booked up for 2 of us in the PH enclosure smile My 6th time at Le Mans, 2nd Classic, but first time in the PH "pen". Looking forward to some decent facilities. The public campsite toilets and showers seem to have got worse every time I've been over the last 16 years.

Good stuff! I've never experienced staying on the public site as I've been spoiled by PH, could never go public now - I've turned into a bit of a princess! yikes

See you there.

Oh you haven't lived! The raw sewage flowing out of a pipe into an open air cesspit 3 feet away from the only drinking water tap for a square km. Fantastic! hehe

Sewage???
Luxury.

Crapping in the woods is what real men have to do...while hoping not to step in someone else's pile.
