The Guardians resident green nazi is at it again:

http://politics.guardian.co.uk/columnist/story/0,932

There's already a thread on this on SafeSpeed, and as I said on there:

The man is, IMHO, an idiot. The implication that libertarianism is a right wing point of view, is incorrect, ignorant, and, to a left-wing libertarian such as myself, offensive.

As a Gruaniad reader, I'm appalled that a paper which is normally "liberal" (with a small "L" ) should give this man, who basically a green fascist of worst sort, space to print such specious authoritarian nonsense.

Still, as has already been said, if he has resorted to name-calling he must be rattled!

Obviously not, but this is pretty awful even by his standards, he usually tries to wrap up his nonsense in "reasoned argument" - this is just abuse.

Nothing wrong with abuse, but one should follow the standard procedure of a reasoned argument at first.

This is what you get for reading the Guardian!

Well its a free country, and I reserve the right to say that hes very sadly deluded, and perhaps would be better off living in N.Korea?

oh my god what a clown.

Just skimmed a few lines of that second report and apparently a Hummer weighs 7.6 tonnes and a Gibbs Aquada is a huge 4x4.

Do these people know anything?!

Seconded

He probably drives a brand new car, to work, has private medical care and works for a company that bleaches thousands of felled trees every year putting the result in cars and lorries to be driven all over the country...

Hypocrite.

At least I am honest in what a do.

Hypocrisy is all they know. For example, that Guardian irritant Polly Toynbee, so against private education. Guess where her offspring go? I don't need to tell you. Nauseating hypocrisy all round. Despicable people.

Exactaymondo. The sort of system that exists in N.Korea is the end goal for fools like monbiot.

His statement on buses being taken of the road he does realise this is the year 2005 in the UK? Just shows what an ill educated, uninformed goon he is.

Reading his drivle, I think he just tries to be controversial.

Regarding speed monitoring, he doesn't really have any valid or honest points that I can see.

Regarding the car and global warming, the motorist is now only a miniscule contributor to pollution.

Look to the US and third world countries to reduce their industrial pollution and you'll be looking where an impact can REALLY be made.

What a turd.

He's making one statement based on bollox to justify the next arguement, which is compounded by further bollox statements.

By the end of any paragraph you may as well be reading the Beano comic of world politics and distasters!

Anyone know what car he drives and how many miles he does. I bet he's quite a hypocrite at heart just like all of them!
