Are you sure it's not in use?

A quick Google came up with the The Automotive Academy/NorthWest Motor Alliance - whatever that is?

Have heard since that its been granted planing permission for housing.

(the NW Automotive people are still live and kicking, aiming at supporting NW companies who supply the industry)

There is talk about them redeveloping the test track, of course it is angering local people because as well as a small industrial section they want to build a load of houses, and because after all, this is Leyland after all, the council with their pound sign eyes pounding, haven't bothered to think about the already, way below par infrastructure. Sort the current roads out around Leyland before you build some more to line your pockets with!. That's a lot of houses. Please anything but a supermarket! That's what you have on the site of the bus factory!( and houses of course), not to mention the north, south works, still house building on the huge plot where the power house used to be and up that way.
