From Cadwell on the weekend - it's mega fun to drive but a bit tight eek

I nearly took out the marshalls post with the back end when I kind'a forgot how big the Cresta was, a slight kiss of paint left on the armco right in front of the marshall yikesbiglaugh

And some nice pics by Cieron too

Nice cars and nice lurking! smile

What's the 240Z like to live with, is it as fun as it looks?

Hiya OlberJ,
If i had a pound for every time someone asked what it is i'd be able to retire. The zed is great fun when it's dry,it's lowered with f&r strut bars,L28 cylinder block from a 280ZX & E88 head that's polished/ported & converted for unleaded.Triple cored rad with electric fan & a 12 row oil cooler, sitting on 6'' coil overs with 4 pot front calipers with vented discs. It could do with a larger fuel tank as it's got triple Webbers & i've a heavy right foot smile
Ray the lurker!

P.S. Nice MR2 you've got there.

Very nice. I keep looking at them in the classifieds, just such a classy shape.

Missed out on a shell that went for £2k about a year ago, had all the resto work done just needed the engine of choice. I was gutted at that one.

I need to get a drive in one to see if they live up to my expectations.

Although in saying that, if it looks that good and makes the right noises who cares how it drives?

I've also seen some eBay cars that frankly are too far gone but the one you've mentioned sounds ideal if all the resto work had been done.As is the case with most cars always try to buy the best bodyshell that you can & improve and/or modify as time goes on.Some panels are now unobtainable & even a basic restoration can cost @6k+ these days.A good place to start looking is on the club website www.zclub.net or at Duncan's zfarm up in Thirsk,North Yorkshire. Some club member have even put the RB26 Skyline engine in a zed and even a Chevy V8.
If money is no object then there is always the Track Club Edition Nissan GT-R on the home page yikes

A 240z with a LS engine in it would be quite a tool

Cheers Ray, i'll have a good look.

Only noticed today the similarity in the looks of a 240Z and a TVR T350C. With T350's from about £15k nowadays they're awfy tempting.

Needs some special wheels mind you. scratchchin

Is it still highest impreza on a standard gt3582r or has a similar colour car beat it yet?

How do you get the 2.35ltr engine? what crank are you running?

2.2block and 2.5 crank.
Strongest engine combination.

i bet all that lot costs a serious amount of cash, id love 500bhp in my impreza but i expect it will cost much more than the car is worth just for the engine and then theres the gearbox, clutch, brakes, suspension.....etc etc, which all adds up to mega mulla.
