A debate with a friend of mine,

Does anyone know how many 993 C4S' were produced for the UK in 1998.

Would also be interesting to know the stats on the 993 range as whole

thanks

Shan

There were 37 4S's sold in 1998.
In total over the production period a total of 3646 993's of all variants were sold in the UK.

(figures taken from the Porsche Owners club forum, the 993 section is full of interesting stuff to do with the model)

That's what I thought, but I was sure I read it in the list above, which prompted my post.

However, having re-read it I clearly wasn't awake or wasn't seeing right rolleyes

BTW those are the Varioram only figures and do not include 1993 - 1995 cars. The figure of 181 for the 4S is correct though as they are all Varioram. Production for the 4S is split 92 in 1996, 52 in 1997 and 37 in 1998.

As mentioned above full UK production details by model by year available on PCGB forum in the 993 FAQ section.

Another thing I didnt realise is that there were more 993 C2S's produced (nearly double) compared to the 4S, and the 2S was out for a lesser period

Any Turbo numbers (and if we're really pushing, X-50 numbers)?

More info from the PCGB forum, regarding turbo numbers:

1995:83 / 1996:89 / 1997:74 / 1998:31 = 277 total

Turbo S 1998: 23

There is no distinction made for 430 or 450 bhp models.
