The new Mercedes SL65 Black Series has gone down well with you guys and here in the PH office. We thought it is such a looker it was worth giving you a SuperSize image to stick on your desktop.

The 190 2.5-16 Cosworth Evo III (the one with the ludicrously tall rear wing) in black has been the ONLY roadgoing Merc that has ever floated my boat... until now!

I absolutely go crazy - no, positively ache - for this car. In spirit, it's like a roadgoing version of the DTM car. Indeed, stick one of the DTM's mad rear spoilers on and away you go! (only kidding though).

Yes puuur-lease! I'll have a Black...... in white!

[BTW thanks for the 2048x1536 version - it downscales by a perfect 2:1 pixels (no dodgy interpolation nasties) for my 1024x768 desktop size. Nice one.]

I've been a knob'ead (I've never really got to grips with Merc's model nomenclature - it's the age you know!)... It's the more 'humble' looking, touring car-esque CLK63 Black (F1 safety car) that I love. Although this SL65 is, er, hardly horrible is it?!
