Thanks for all the comments guys.
It would be interesting to hear from anyone who doesn't like the integrale and why.
My wife thinks it's a pile of poo and just does not see the attraction at all. In fact it's hard to get her to go anywhere in it.
I guess some of your dream cars are determined by your age. I know when the integrale was doing it's stuff on the rally stages I was in my early 20's, reading every car mag going, and longing to own one but it just wasn't financially possible at the time. Ever since that I wanted one desperately.

look like nothing in pictures but for real, esp. in monza red they look absolutely fabulous
Lovely mate My brother has one too, the engine is currently being rebuilt after a piston cracked! Still, the engine is now back in (a year or so later) and it's almost done. Will be a beast when done! Bigger turbo, stainless exhaust manifold etc etc. I still reckon my Citroen will be faster!
Here are some pics of it in it's Glory days - Integrales rock!! What other car is so wide that it scares people when you're behind them?!
Gotta love those angles!!!!!

I tried to convince myself of that too! Thought that I 'needed' and Evolutione, but the earlier models are just as good to drive and also don't suffer as badly with stress fractures.
I year on of owning an Integrale 16v, im still grinning every time I drive it At the end of the day, its the 'non-evo' that won 5 of 6 titles...
Please don't be put off that you can't stretch to an evo, as it's NOT an inferior car one little bit. £6k buys an excellent non-evo or an evo in need of some expensive loving, go figure!

Don't say that you'll make me start trawling the classifieds! I'm just comparing the two, and as far as asthetics goes, is there any other difference than the wheels and the rear spoiler? Not a fan of the pepper pot alloys, so maybe it's possible to get hold of the Evo wheels if I did get a non Evo intergrale. Of course Intergale enthusiasts would probably hate me for it...
Each of the various evolutions of the car has its own merits realy! The original hf-4wd looks sooo kool imo
Most of the body & suspension is different, but the drivetrain & engine are essentialy the same. You can 'evo-ify' a non-evo no probs (the evo grp a cars were original reboddied 8v's!) however yes, many purists will say leave alone. But they certainly wont hate you for it! Each to their own (within reason lol).
I looked at an inferior cond evo before buying mine, i no i made the right choice
Go on, drive 1 you will be turned

Can anyone post up a list of the different models (evo 1, 2 etc...), years built, performance stats, for the Integrale?
You can get more info from herehttp://www.whalley-integrale.uk.com/

Andy,
I wish they were Speedlines! They're Compomotives. My car is not standard and I really like the look of the EVO2 alloys previously fitted, but I'm converted now I think they look great whilst still retaining the 'look' of the originals.
Jackel,
I think I sit at the opposite end of the cost spectrum as regards costs! I've had the car two years and yes I've spent a lot on her. Having said that I'm sat here feeling rather pleased with myself as I changed all the belts yesterday.
In some ways owning a car like this doesn't make any sense at all until the next B road!
Jamie.
