Who Wants a Reventon?

Dealer trying to shift an ultra-rare Lambo in Silicon Valley

With just 20 Lamborghini Reventons around you’re likely to wait a long time before one turns up on Autotrader. But one of these rare beasts recently came onto the market in the US.

Only 10 Reventons were said to have made it to the States and this one is for sale in the very slickly-named Silicon Valley Auto Group. According to the description the car has come from Dubai at some point.

After doing a bit of digging around it looks like the seller may have had the car for some time - looks like the credit crunch is biting even at this level. Unsurprisingly there’s no price tag plastered on the windscreen but I guess if you have to ask…

Buy a Reventon here

Depending on what frame of mind I happen to be in - I see the rarified people who put-out for one of these either as haloed demigods who have achieved arguably the pinnacle of modern pistonhead appreciation... or alternatively slightly confused suckers who've fallen for some kind of self-obsessed mega prank.

I mean come on - parked next to that lawn... it's just a bloody car at the end of the day. Some wheels and interestingly formed sheets of carbon fibre.... or is it?

How much???!!!

No doubt already on its way to some other obscure climate-controlled corner of the world.

Ha Ha. I don't think the credit crunch has hit that hard just yet.
Imagine that for a grand?

You know what? In real life, on a real street, with "normal" surroundings, I think it looks a bit st.

given a choice of a standard Murcielago or the Reventon, have to say I'd chose the original.

Not that it's a quandary I'm ever likely to be faced with tongue out

On the advert - what is a "styling que"?

I thought que was spanish for question?

And the Reventon apparently has a "Organic G-Froce Meter". Wish I had a Froce meter in my motor!

If anyone is ever in the San Francisco/San Jose area I would recommend going to have a look around Silicon Valley auto group, I was there a few months back, in stock in their showroom, they had 3 Veyron's, an very nice F40, more ferrari's and lambo's I've ever seen, lots of Astons etc. Very cool dealer.

Reventon looks a bit st only parked in a normal street? Eh? What? Its *always* looked st! Especially so to anybody who has worked in the mil aviation industry and fell over laughing at the "inspired by F22" drivel that Lambo came out with at the time.

A standard Murci is a much cleaner design. The Reventon was just a "money out of mugs" exercise.

You know if I was in the market for a short run Hyper car that would not even come into the equation, It is just way to much like a standard car with a body kit clagged on.

If you have the money for this type of machine it needs to be unique in as many ways as possible.. in my opinion anyway.

How much is it anyway, $100,000 10% of new price I think.

What were you expecting then? A 45ft wingpspan, internal cannon and advanced air-to-air missile compliment??

Beautiful looking car and you can definitely see the 'influences' taken from the Raptor - Lambo didn't say literal copy!
