Special Edition Nissan 370Z Yellow

It might be yellow, but this 370Z certainly isn't mellow

Ultimate Yellow - not the most subtle of hues

The Nissan 370Z may have barely gone on sale, but already it’s spawning special editions. The latest offering is this, the imaginatively named 370Z Yellow.

Following on from the recent German-market Nurburgring Edition – which celebrated the car’s participation in this year’s famous 24-hour endurance race – the 370Z Yellow also pays homage to Nissan motorsport, taking design cues from the GT4 endurance race series.

There are no mechanical upgrades to the 370Z Yellow, although with 326bhp and 270lb ft of torque, it's hardly under-endowed. What the car does get are 19-inch forged RAYS alloys, natty 370 body graphics (which bear absolutely no resemblance to those often used by Porsche...) and, of course, that 'Ultimate Yellow' paint job.

Not a car for shy types...

Inside, the black leather and suede cabin gets all the goodies from the GT model – on which the Yellow is based – including an eight-speaker Bose stereo, sat-nav and heated seats.

The number of Yellows will be limited (though Nissan doesn’t give any figures, and it will be available through selected dealers and all Nissan High Performance Centres – where the Nissan GT-R is sold – from September.

Prices are £31,650 for the six-speed manual or £33,050 for the seven-speed paddle-shift auto, identical to a nav-equipped standard GT version.

I wasn't sure about the 370z at first, but that is a very nice looking car.

Headlights are a bit dodgy and will date badly, but it's a nice car.

Disappointing to see so many 'good' cars like this, the M3 and some Mercs having special editions at the moment though - is it fair to assume sales are struggling in the current economic climate?

Like the 370z and happy to live with the lights! I think if I had 32k burning a whole in my pocket (which I dont) and was in the market for a NEW two seat coupe (which I'm not unfortunately) this would be my first choice just dont like the signage!

Looks ok, a lot less Toad-like in that colour. Those stickers look like they have just been stolen on a Porsche though.

So this is an imported version of the basic car? (LHD and rear fog light in the bumper but on uk plates) Or is that just for 'illustrational' purposes?confused

If they sorted those front lights out I would probably quite like it.

I know what people mean about the headlights but over all it's a cracking car. A speed yellow GT3 hommage is not bad thing smile

I love these cars, and cant wait to see a few at Nissan on the 19th.

However......

Am i right in thinking that this is just the GT Model with some graphics on the side, and they're charging another £1500 for that?!!!

£30k for the GT model is an absolute bargain, and yes id like one please!

I think that looks bloody awful, and that's coming from someone who loved the look of the 350Z so much he bought one without ever driving it.
