Hi,

As per the title - how easy/hard is it to remove decals from a MINI, specifically the bonnet stripes? Will the removal leave a clear paint discolouration?

The decals I'm refeing to are like these (pic's 'borrowed' of Autotrader).

Sorry, posted before finishing!

If anyone has removed their decals, was it a real pain or relatively easy?

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks.

Is it really that simple?

So the laquer isnt over the top of the decals? Did you have any notable difference in the paint colour?

i do these graphics for a living, they will be on top of the clear coat, worse case it will need a polish mate. you could also take it to a local sign makers / graphics store and have them remove it for you if you wanted. but its not a bad job, they can at times be pain and come of in tiny bits buts its just time then mate

As advised above, removed many decals, you can also do it with a hair dryer. In the past I have took them off after the car has sat in the mid day sun for a while.

Them graphics will be a pain though as it will be one square at a time frown

Should only take a short time to remove them

Our old Mini was completely sign written and I managed to get it all off in an afternoon with fingernails and a hairdryer, there will be some adhesive residue but this is easily removed with some white spirit, after removal give the car a good soapy wash and then polish with a 50/50 mix of wax polish and cutting polish.
