Even 25 years after its last WRC manufacturers' title, Lancia still holds an incredible allure for rallying fans. With the Stratos, 037 and Delta, Lancia achieved incredible success in the early days of the WRC as well as Group A and Group B. Those fantastic Alitalia and Martini liveries won't have harmed Lancia's appeal either.
One of those people was PHer 'Lagerlout', who describes himself as a "massive WRC fan for a long time, in particular the era dominated by Lancia and their six consecutive manufacturer titles." So how best to show off that admirable allegiance? A pair of rally cars, of course!
Yep, this PHer owns not one, but two ex-works Delta Integrales. The first is a 1990 car driven by Juha Kankkunen, which eventually found its way to England and was campaigned in club rallies over here for more than a decade. It's currently being returned to a Marlboro livery, the first of its post-WRC colour schemes...
The second Integrale is perhaps even cooler; a 1992 Evo campaigned by Didier Auriol, it won in Australia and Finland during a season where the Frenchman took half a dozen victories. Since then it has enjoyed time in Hungary and the UK.
And now they're both in one collection! The thread was only started on Thursday, so expect plenty more detail to come, but it's one to bookmark right away. Bravo that PHer!
