The 205 Rallye is a very significant fast Peugeot; not in right-hand drive form, you understand, because that was really just a regular 1.4 with a few jazzy stickers on it. But in left-hand drive form it's a proper little devil of a hot hatch, twin carbs taking power beyond 100hp and weight reduction meaning that, at less than 800kg, it barely tickled the scales. One or two have made their way to the UK - most notably to one Mr C. Harris - and the classic car market is beginning to appreciate its importance. By making them more expensive.
PHer 'Nimerino' has had his 1990 Rallye since May, the car having originally been a display model for Peugeot Finland before being imported to Sweden, where it now resides. It was once also Juha Kankkunen's car, which is a fairly incredible claim to fame.
Now, normally this would all be enough to get the car its Friday slot as Reader's Car of the Week, but it's also here as a plea to Nimerino - we need to see more of your car! Since May the thread hasn't been updated, and with just the two introductory pics it's looking a little bare. So please, Nimerino, we reach out to Sweden and ask you to furnish us with as many pics and details as you have of your fabulous car. Enjoy it!
