Audi is planning a soft-top version of the A3, according to Autocar this week.
Slotting into the range below the A4 cabrio and due in 2007, it's expected to sell for around £19,000. It'll get a soft-top because, said chairman Martin Winterkorn, the cloth hood is seen as being more luxurious.
It'll be powered by the usual range of petrol and diesel engines plus a V6 at the top-end, with two and four-wheel versions on offer.
