Can you help with some good ideas? PHers have been asked for help by independent TV production company Tiger Aspect which is making a new science entertainment series for Channel 4. Tiger Aspect described it as "a high profile, prime time show which is expected to yield high viewing figures and a keen fan base".
Called Men in White, the idea is that three aspirational PhDs go out on the road in each themed hour-long show. They'll respond to three or four SOS pleas for help from the public for real life problems that they hope the Men in White can solve.
Channel 4 has commissioned a series, and the first pilot programme, in which the three men in white create an un-ticketable, un-clampable and un-towable car -- while keeping within the law -- is in the can.
Assistant producer Kate Harding said: "When the show is broadcast, we expect to be swamped with requests for help but at this stage we are actively searching for some great, genuine characters who are spot on for some of our pre-set challenges, such as this one."
In other words, what Tiger Aspect wants from us PHers is ideas for problems they can get their teeth into.
