There's never a dull moment in London, especially when it comes to spotting supercars on the streets of our capital. Some of the machinery we've been lucky enough to see over the past month wouldn't be out of place in a museum or on a race track, but London is like nowhere else in the world (excluding maybe Monaco), and different rules apply here. A 5 mph crawl in Knightsbridge traffic may not be the intended use for a Pagani Zonda for instance, but I'm just grateful we get to see them at all, rather than them gather dust in some hidden underground collection!
A Porsche 993 Carrera RS was probably one of the coolest cars snapped this month. It's by no means as fast as its younger brother the 991 GT2RS that we saw in Mayfair, however, there's something effortlessly wicked about those big flared arches and proper race car looks.
On the topic of race cars, we also found ourselves face to face with two modern cars that push the limits of road legality for the sake of track performance. Those being the eye wateringly fast BAC Mono, and the absolutely bananas McLaren Senna (with all that black, yellow and green it even looks a bit like a bruised banana). The Senna is probably one of the first to touch London tarmac, as it is the carbon bodied Geneva press car!
You might have also noticed the enormous wing of the Mansory AMG GT, which is swathed in red carbon to contrast the satin grey paint work. This car does make a Vauxhall Corsa look classy, and definitely won't be to everyone's tastes, however, there is no faulting the attention to detail and craftsmanship that goes into bespoke built cars like this one.
Elsewhere, in and around town we saw two Bugatti Veyrons nose to nose, a matching Speciale and Speciale Aperta, a Pagani Zonda F and the one-off Zonda 760 MD, and an absolutely gorgeous Ferrari 250 PF left parked in the sunshine with the roof down. Be sure to check back in a month's time as the weather gets better, and so do the supercars that come out to play!
