Porsche announces Panamera Exclusive Series
For those days when a regular Panamera Turbo S Executive just won't do
But let's start with the paint. Below the door handles is a 'chestnut brown metallic' against the deep black metallic primary hue. If it makes you think of Peugeot's Onyx and RCZ R concepts then you're not alone. Each Panamera Exclusive will be hand painted to 'ensure a harmonious blend of colour'. It's distinctive, that's for sure.
Not got enough chestnut brown? Good, as inside is trimmed with 'Agatha Chestnut Brown' leather from Poltrona Frau. Where there is black leather there's chestnut brown stitching for a contrast.
For rear passengers sick of brown there is a distraction: Rear Seat Entertainment System Plus. With two 10.1-inch touchscreens, built-in camera and Burmester speakers it should provide adequate distraction from the important work you must be involved with to afford a Panamera Exclusive. Or continue toiling with the 'comprehensive business' function and mobile Internet.
The Exclusive is based on the long wheelbase Panamera Turbo S Executive with 570hp and seven-speed PDK. It therefore probably won't be far off the 3.8 seconds to 62 and 193mph of the standard car, at least up until the optional five-piece luggage set is thrown in.
Porsche is only making 100 Exclusive Series Panameras, all in left-hand drive. It will be shown at the Los Angeles motor show, a region where you expect it will prove popular. And it isn't quite £200,000 so apologies for that; at today's exchange rate 249,877 euros is £196,700. Bargain.
