I may have missed the boat a little as it's nearly two weeks since the event but . . . . . .
Anybody willing to volunteer as a Marshall for next year's event would be welcomed. We (The Marshals) were a bit short handed at this event and it would be nice if the event could be enjoyed by those in hivis too. For next year, I'd quite like to have two sets of Marshals, one doing an early shift and one doing a late shift so that nobody misses out. This would roughly be 07:30 - 12:30 and 12:00 - 17:30(ish).
Anybody willing to volunteer, please contact me (Head Marshal blokey on the gate) or V8S through our profiles.
Thank you.

As it has been half term, it's taken a while to get the information from the school about the canteen takings.
At present the total of the JustGiving donations, the money raised on the day and the school canteen is:
£6864.09
We are still to hear what has been raised in the Gift Aid envelopes given to the hospice last Thursday, so hopefully this will bump the total up over £7500.
As you can see, this year seems to have raised less with more vehicles than in 2012.

thats disappointing, think next year a small charge per car say £5 would help, I'd happily pay that as I thought it was a great day out, also maybe add some more money making activities/games etc, I'm sure If a post was put up asking for Ideas for next years show(if there is one???) you would be inundated with some great Ideas...At present the total of the JustGiving donations, the money raised on the day and the school canteen is:

Yes that would be me thank you .need to look into the problem that should of been spitting plenty of flames but was struggling to achieve any .However everybody seemed rather high after that .the amount of unburt fuel being pushed out the exhaust and sucked into everyone's lungs must of been a bit overwhelming

Not trying to be confrontational or rude but I did offer to marshall/volunteer at this year's event in the thread that asked for more help but I unfortunately had no response and so in the end didn't attend.Anybody willing to volunteer as a Marshall for next year's event would be welcomed. If free I'll happily help out in some way next year as it was a great event when I went in 2012 and is very local to me.
It is very sad/dissapointing that less money was raised. We actually spent slightly more but brought 2 cars this time. I have sent a private message with my thoughts but I cannot get my head around why less was raised: Surely everybody donated something didn't they? If they didn't: Shame on them.
Don't let this put you off, look at the various sugestions (especially mine! ) and lets do it all again next year.

Hi Lee
Glad you enjoyed the MTC trip last week and thanks for your contribution to the worthy cause and also to David at McLaren Birmingham for sorting it all out.
If anyone wants to make a donation to CWC, I am happy to provide a lift to a school prom or similar in my 12C.
Just PM me if interested.

So I assume you donated your trip? Thank you for that. It is impossible to put into words that place and I had a great time. David is a great chap too and was good to have a look in the rolls he turned up in. Never really seen one up close and inside like that. Also with the tour group all mclaren owners there were some interesting stories to listen too Glad you enjoyed the MTC trip last week and thanks for your contribution to the worthy cause and also to David at McLaren Birmingham for sorting it all out.
