Hey folks,

Just wondering if any folks down here know of any tunnels to appreciate exhaust and induction noise through? Or if there are nearby meets where tunnels are involved? The ones I know of locally are pretty small, barely exist 2nd gear before it's all over. Hindhead is too far away... I'm in the Portsmouth area.

Cheers!

Not sure of any long enough round here, but how is Hindhead too far?. 20 minutes easy on the A3 then take the Meon route on the way back,

I'd actually be leaving from Gosport so a bit more than 20mins really tongue out I was aiming for a little closer to home just for those early weekend runs with the roof down.

Perhaps Hindhead could be an occasional thing though.

Your not going to get anything better than Hindhead locally I'm afraid.

Although blindingly obvious be aware of the average speed camera set-up there.

I've always thought if the overheads weren't lit then the average Cams were off? Not that I've ever exceeded reasonable limit there anyway as most jaunts have been from low speed to motorway speed tongue out

Worst bit is Gosport to Fareham...once on m27 less than 30 mins away ish!
No need to go much above 70 in there, most people think it's 50 anyway

Portslade is a bit of a trek away, over an hour! But certainly one to keep bookmarked cheers as it looks quite lkengthy.

The Winchester one looks decent too if a bit short!

Myself I wouldn't take that chance. A bit like the people on a motorway up North who thought the average speed cameras weren't operating over the week-ends as the roads were clear of bollards, no work force etc, etc and got a nasty surprise.

Hindhead is probably the best and doesn't take long (I'm in Fareham) however it has average speed camera and I've seen a large police presence previously in that area.

What car is it you want to hear?
