Love this. I've just ordered Fibre Flare's MVP from their Australian website.okgo said:
Are they not designed to be strapped round the top tube?
Designed only to be (literally) flexible so you can use them wherever suits. Google images shows them on helmets, seat tubes, chain stays, rucksacks and clothing. The MPV looks specifically designed for the helmet - their own website shows it like this:
Looks like you can be seen from space but you won't ruin an approaching driver's night vision by having an offensively bright flashing beacon, as some rear lights are.

Any chance of someone messaging me this rapha discount code so I can join the secret squirrel club :-)
It's on the previous page matey.Quite bizarre, as it doesn't seem to fall foul of 'The Rules'... http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/rules.htm
ETA
Sorry but we've had a request to remove it so we're complying with that request.

If the LD610 is too long for you, Cateye also do this one...

...which is more compact, but part of the same 'family' of lights. But I've not used this one so cannot comment on it's performance, reliability, or battery life.
I use this one and it is very bright and the battery life is good. The on/off switch is a bit shonky but Wiggle replaced my light after 8 months with no problem and the new one seems better.http://www.wiggle.co.uk/cateye-tl-rapid-3-led-rear...

I am considering getting another to mount on the other side of the wheel stay.

Not sure what to do, the only thing on there i like is the team kit but then theres a FKW situation.
Rule #17 and rule #1 When I was in Tuscany in July I met up with a couple of FKW (Tinkoff Saxo) head to toe!
The thing was they hadn't broken rule #17.

Getting ready for winter ("Already?", you ask):
Any chance of a picture of them on when you fit them? Thinking about a set for my Dorset but want to see what they look like on a bike first. Just bought one of these to hopefully cure my smelly helmet and to stop sweat getting in my eyes.

Looks like that ship has sailed. Fortunately after I ordered the pro team bibs and jersey which gets a 20% discount when ordered as a bundle and then a further 25% (BOOM!). Also got some team sky bibs, lightweight jersey and some winter socks. donfisher said:
Thanks. They look pretty good.
I previously had a set of the SKS Bluemels which are similar in concept but (I think) 100% plastic. They were decent enough and I would have kept with them but I knocked them and broke the seat-stay bridge mounting - a plastic clip. No-one sells spares so I had to buy something completely new which was irritating, however the Whyte ones are an aluminium/plastic composite which lends a little more rigidity, and the mountings are a little sturdier so the guards shouldn't rattle around.Oh, and they're in matt black, rather than shiny, so they match my Whyte Portobello.
