A set of Shimano Zee brakes for my Cannondale Jekyll, as the Maguras, just created a burning smoke screen in Spain and a distinct lack of scrubbing speed. I like birthdays !! Also an Exotic stem for the wifes Santa Cruz Julianna to make the position similar to her On One Scandal. Oh and nearly forgot, a Zee 10 sp shifter, 105 rear mech, 10 sp Sram chain and 30 mtrs of cable outer ( not using it all!!) to convert my singlespeed mountain bike city slicker to a 10 sp faster to work and to home bike. Have an 11 to 23 cassette tucked away to fit. All today !!!!

It was on the previous page. But 'big al' (a moderator, I presume) censored it out. I can't think why, as it's just one forum member helping others to save money. Would I find myself in hot water if I shared a 'secret' discount on performance tyres, or the location of cheap fuel??

Quite bizarre, as it doesn't seem to fall foul of 'The Rules'... http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/rules.htm

ETA

Sorry but we've had a request to remove it so we're complying with that request.
The code was for employees working for companies that were SKY SPoNSoRs during 2014. e.g. Jaguar.

It got abused and now not available for anyone.

OK. That makes more sense. Not that PH is to blame for folk 'sharing the wealth' though. That's an integrity issue for whichever of those employees let the cat out of the bag. Not that I'm all that bothered - Rapha is out of my price range anyway, discount or not, so I didn't even look at what was available. I just thought it odd for someone to censor a discount code, as that, in and of itself, doesn't really contravene the terms and conditions of use on here. Ho Hum!

Anyone got a 25% discount code for Colnago? wink

*Not my edit, by the way nono

Just ordered 3 (to go with the 2 I already have), it gets dark on Salisbury Plain :-)
I've ordered one... but would you recommend more than one for those of us not cycling on the Salisbury Plain??
One for your head and one (or more) for your bars.
Is the battery pack internal or separate?
Separate.
£8 each, madness.
Mine came today, crikey these light up like Wembley stadium

I just went out for a ride with one of those lights (now £11 on Amazon btw)

Every moth in Bracknell Forest was attracted to it.

After nailing two tyres this weekend, a pair of Michelin Pro4 Service Course tyres, as a slightly-cheaper-and-something-different alternative to the Vittoria Open Corsas I was running.

And they're bloody good. Easily on a par with said Vittorias.

Posted this in the carbon wheels thread also.

Bought a set of Far sport u shape 23mm 50deep clinchers for my wife's bike for her 40th as she wants to start triathlon.

Bought the Reynolds blue pads to go with them after having ordered with swisstop yellows then doing the obligatory post purchase research and worrying about her exploding a rim or not being able to stop!

Have to say I'm very impressed with the quality.

New U shape 50mm x 23mm Clincher with Edhub Model:FSC50CM-23-ED U
Rim Finish
3K Matt

Edhub Black
Cassette body
Shimano/Sram 9/10/11 with washer

I'm so tempted by some of them. They look exactly what I'm after (plain, simple carbon), and reviews have been great; yours included (so far biggrin)

You mind my asking the final cost?

Sorry just seen on other thread; £490. Compared to its peers, that's superb.

I'll let you know how she gets on, she's not getting them until her birthday on the 30th. She'll give a direct, honest opinion I'll guarantee!

Was just looking at the £400 quid for a carbon bike from Argos thread and saw this... Ordered and hopefully delivered in time for this weekends club ride:

Just hope I can mount it onto my flatish aero bars! Sounds to discuss the CK Hubs too!

Keep an eye on them. Once people forget about them again, they drop down in price.

There's also dx.com and EBay.

I spent the last few days building this for my commuter/potential cx race bike.

It's 1x10 with a 42t narrow wide chainring, square taper bb, MTB mech and 11-34 cassette. Have it running 700c x28 road tyres at the mo while I get used to it. Also has road hydraulics from Gevenalle in the US.

Pretty new to cycling and it's the first bike I've built but it was cycle commute or buy a car for 12 miles a day. Need to give it a road based shakedown before I start the commute on it.
