The " Laferrari" is vulgar and looks as if it belongs in the badly modified cars topic.

I don't 'get' hot hatches.

I don't see the appeal of fast estates.

I'm a car snob. Sometimes

I loved my Ford Cougar when I was younger.

I find German cars UTTERLY dull and boring. Soulless even.

Even the sporty ones are incredibly dreary. AMG? No, zero interest. M Sport thing? Even less interest and Porsche? Forget it! Rear engined, over hyped, bad handling rubbish.

Why people buy this stuff is clear to me, they have been brainwashed.

I like automatic transmission. Proper, old-fashioned, torque converter coupling slushboxes like the ZF four-speeder in my Jag. No flappy paddles, a sensible number of ratios, a simple selector which allows all the manual control I want without pretending to be a manual and the choice of normal or sport modes.

The Citroen 2CV is one of the most brilliantly conceived cars ever made. I also like the VW Beetle but wouldn't want most modern supercars or hypercars.

I can't muster enthusiasm for any modern motor racing; Formula 1, Le Mans, Touring Cars and rallying all leave me cold (although I love historic racing cars).

There is no such thing as over light steering. Weight is not the same as feel (which matters a bit) and response (which is vital).

I don't get the V8 noise. That is anything of USA origin, OHV, with a st specific output. bks to the noise. Noise never made anything any faster.

That's pretty much what I was going to post.
I just might be tempted by some of the AMGs, though.

Oh, and as for Scoobies and HSV/Monaros. Please, if you're going to make a powerful car with great handling, why not make it look the part?

I really like driving my MGF, but I don't do it even when I want to because I feel embarrased and ashamed.

I don't understand why people think that cars which break all the time are full of passion and ones which are made well are dull.

I find the other way round is more appropriate

I love Vauxhalls.
I have 3 Astras and the wife has a Nova.
(I also have a C900T16)

I've never owned or really driven a RWD car.

I'm not really interested in 'supercars'.

I don't like Jag E types. I think they're overated. A DeLorean is for me a far, far sexier looking car

Me neither. I don't like fast barges either. M5s, AMGs etc disgust me.

I desire sports cars that are small and light, like Lotus.

OUT! you heathen.

Actually I can understand that the wedges arent everyones cup of tea (especially the older wedgier ones) but as someone who was in my teens when they came out they are and always will be cool. which is why I have just bought one despite the grief I knew I would get from my OH.

Can you really say this doesnt look good?
Congratulations on your new car!

It was a bit before my time. I see the Wedge in the same was as I see Joanna Lumley - I can say it looks eye-catching and no doubt caused a right stir in it's day. Therefore I can certainly understand on a rationale level why another would be a huge fan... but just not for me. Believe me I have tried, I really have. Hence why I feel guilty confessing this petrolhead sacrilege.

Let me show you what I think looks good, a proper bit of Rachel Riley... I present to you, one of the most gorgeous cars ever made - the mighty TVR Griffith!

I went from a Clio 172 to a mk5 transit. I had more fun in the transit.

I went from a volvo v70 t5 to a diesel automatic mondeo. I prefer the mondeo.

I don't mind the look of 'stanced' cars.

A 900cc fiat cinquecento is one of the best cars I have had.

I still like mk1 and mk2 escorts mind.

I don't find driving much fun anymore.

I've never driven an MX5.

I quite like the look of an Evoque and the MINI Countryman.

I prefer driving my 10 year old Forester (often) to my Porsche or Alpina.

I'll get the rope....
