Waved goodbye to the daily workhorse of 12 years yesterday. A sad day.

Still, opens up possibilities for something new. My needs are-a changing, and there are still a few options on the table, but current favourite is a certain legendary marque commonly seen on the roads, but of an example made in limited numbers, with no back seats, pared back interior, and full rear cage fitted...

Any opinions as a daily? smile

Very limited experience of them but here is my 2p worth. Mine - a 996.1 GT3 CS with every single item in the 996GT3 Manthey Catalogue thrown at it is definitely not a daily driver. The Swiss car I was buying initially - a 996.1 GT3 CS that was totally standard - that could easily be a daily, just like a CSL could be a daily...

Porsche??

Renault??

Dear me no.

Booked a go in one at weekend. Never had the pleasure of any flavoured "new" one yet.

On another note, a certain Threadist's ex ///M powered E12 has just shot past me like a dingbat on the M6. Very little keeps up with a Transporter van on the motorway, but had to concede defeat in this case biggrin

I had no idea they do these. I like it.

The owner of the E12 certainly likes to give his old cars what for. As one should. thumbup

Needs tidying up, and I'm no expert, but this looks cheap for a VW Van

I think it would depend on whether it's an only car or not.

That saucy old ketch has been on sale for ages, which makes me suspect it can't possibly be as nice in the metal as it looks in the photos. Which would be a shame, because it looks fantastic. It's apparently just got a fresh twelve-month ticket, too, so presumably it has bits that aren't entirely rotten.

How bad thirsty can it be ()?

Agreed.

In that face-off, I'd go Trophy. For not much more money than that 197 you could have my 200, which is a much better every day car than either.
